Just before the New Year I announced that I would no longer run Skirace.net because of the time it required. Since then, I’ve received dozens of messages from people who were disappointed, and from people who offered to help keep the site going, and I appreciate all of these.
As a result of the reaction and offers of help, I’m very pleased to announce that Skirace.net will continue in the following way:
- I will maintain the site and send out the bulletins.
- Karen Brooks is now responsible for posting news on the site so instead of sending news, results, photos and videos to me, please send them directly to Karen at karen@skirace.net
- Julie Golledge will publish any Victorian or Australian news that she has to share
- Wade Bennett will publish any Australian news he has to share
All of the above have direct publishing access to Skirace.net so contact them at any time with news.
If you would like to become a regular publisher of news or photos from your region, please contact me at robbie@skirace.net
To cover the monthly cost of web hosting and mailing list service providers, etc, Bob Maher of Maherajah Water Skis has agreed to sponsor the site for 1 year and his ad will appear on the site shortly. Google ads are now also appearing on the site.
I would like to thank everyone who has offered to help in one way or another, to keep Skirace.net going. Chris Schneider of www.letstalkskiracing.com, Paul Sleeman, Sean Henshelwood and others – I appreciate your offers guys. Special thanks to Karen, Julie, Wade and Bob. If anyone else feels they can contribute to the site, please contact me.
And of course “thank you” to everyone who has been contributing over the years. I hope you’ll continue to share your news, photos, etc, with the rest of the water ski racing world.
