Having tasted the success of racing on water in his rowing days, Lord Moynihan continues to show enthusiasm for water ski racing and British Team Captain Tony Williams said; “Lord Moynihan is a great personality who has joined us in the celebration of our sport at our National Racing dinner & dance on several occasions and played host to some of Britain’s European Champions at the House of Lords and the Houses of Parliament in London”.

This annual European event has taken place for many years and 2008 sees Great Britain playing the host nation. From 5th until 12th July, Europe’s finest water ski racing teams will gather and compete at Ramsgate, a 13th century English town steeped in history.

Dominic Evans of the Port of Ramsgate Royal Harbour Marina said; “With one of the most exciting water sports in the world on display and a host of activities during the week of the Championships we look forward to your company for this prestigious event. I am sure you will enjoy your visit to Thanet and the surrounding local areas and we look forward to welcoming you”.
