Stone ski club were hosts for the 5th round of the British Ski Racing Championships. With 2 races already cancelled it was imperative to the championship & team selection for the world’s that the race went ahead.
With the UK experiencing high winds the race looked as if it was going to be cancelled. Thanks to Stone members and volunteers the race was rescheduled to race earlier in the day.
The main race ran 1st as this was the deciding factor for selecting the F1 & F2 GB team. Steve Moore lead the race in F1 with Jamie Cramphorn and Harvey Robinson following behind. Congragulations to Junior skier Toby Duggan who came 3rd in F1, the results however could not be classified.
F2 ws the highlight of the day, Dave Sewell dominated the race from the start with Kurt Brooks chasing him through the feild. Jack Lynch & Richard Kirk both battled throughout the race taking a respected 3/4th position.
