The 60th Catalina Water Ski Race is just around the corner and some of the best teams in the world are preparing for the event that has drawn skiers from all over the world for decades.

The 32nd Catalina was my first international race in 1980. 28 years later, I’m looking forward to being at the very special 60th Catalina event and it will be great to see a strong entry field.
If you can’t be there, I know that Jeff Barrus has some some superb plans for camera coverage (beach & chopper based) which will be used to make the 2008 Catalina DVD that will be on sale later.
