The final round of the European Water Ski Racing Championships are underway here at Ramsgate Great Britain. F3 and Seniors hit the waters at 8am this morning and here are the very unofficial results:

In F1 Men’s we saw Chris Stout take the lead at the start with Wayne Mawer just 200ft behind. As the two Aussies fought it out, the 222 boat towing Chris unfortunately suffered mechanical problems and Stout was dropped into the water and out of the race.

Brady Hoggins won overall in the Juniors and Marc Avella took 2nd.
Kim Lumley won the women’s F1 with Sabine Ortileb 2nd.

Mens F1 & F2 (Final Round)
The best race you could wish to see as WayneMawer and Chris Stout battled it out, side by side after Stout held the lead until the half way mark. Mawer crept up on Stout and moved up a gear to take the lead but Stout found some speed and challenged Mawer on the last leg of the race. A superb drag race across the finish line saw Mawer 1st, Stout 2nd and Dimitri Bertels 3rd.
F2 men’s results will come later
That sees the end of the three rounds in these 2007 European Water Ski Racing Championships.
