International Water Ski Racing Online Since 1996

European Championships – starts this weekend

The 2008 European Water Ski Racing Championships are about to take place in the same format as in previous years, which is virtually identical to the World Championships. Most people arrive in Ramsgate GB on 4 July in readiness for the opening ceremony on Saturday and the first of four rounds of racing over the course of a week kicking off on Sunday.

With the best teams in Europe and high profile skiers from the USA and Australia as guests to European shores, next week is set to be packed full of superb racing at every level with over 70 international teams taking part.

Patrick Donovan – Executive Officer of British Water Ski, has provided important final amendments for the 2008 European Water Ski Racing Championships in July. Please read this carefully if you plan to attend the racing at Ramsgate.

Ramsgate
Ramsgate is situated on the southeastern tip of Kent and is a lovely coastal town with stunning architecture and a real continental feel – it is closer to France than the county town of Maidstone.

There are great road links from London via the M25, M20 and M2 motorways and by train it is only 1 hour 50 minutes from London Victoria and 2 hours from Charing Cross.
