Green Island Race Video 2010
on October 2nd, 2010Great video footage of the 2010 Green Island Ski Racing Classic from Cairns, Australia.
The race was won by Anthony Greenwood, hence the Green “wood” Island title. Ben Gully was less a second behind him, Mark Weaver came in 3rd place, Wayne Mawer 4th, Chris Stout 5th place.
A new record was also set with Rebecca Petre becoming the youngest female to compete in this race at the age of 14.
Wayne Mawer still holds the youngest male to compete from when he was 13.

Good footage of a great race! Well done Anthony on your win. Love the helmet cam Wayne. I hope I am correct in saying that Mark Pickering still holds the record for the youngest person to ever win a Green Island Race outright at 14yrs old back in 1979 in a time of 54 minutes. That’s going to take some beating! Maybe Sonny Mawer will be the next contender??? What do you think Wayne??
