Thanks to Sue Fleming for the results and Karen Brooks for the report from the 2nd round of the British Water Ski Racing Championships which were held at Hunstanton on Sunday.

Kim Lumley the only F1 competitor dominated the race from the start with a victorious overall win.F2 had 13 boats competing in their class.Dave Sewell Richard Kirk Jack Lynch headed the front runners followed closely by Harvey Robinson and Kurt Brooks.Lap 13 seen Dave Sewell loose his 1st position as his ski line broke . Richard Kirk 1st , Jack Lynch put in a great performance finishing overall 2nd and 3rd Kurt Brooks a close 18 seconds behind.
F3 seen James Bartlett and Adam Murfet battling for 1st and 2nd position. Will Newland took 3rd place he had a bad start then had to chase the rest of F3 for his position.
The sea conditions started to change for the start of the Support race. A short chop with winds increasing . Junior’s Jake Frame and Billy Smith set the pace, Sam Clapson fell a few hundred metres into the start. A lap down on Billy and Jake he eventually got going again. Sea conditions worsened but Jake and Billy battled through the increasingly rough sea with a tremendous performance followed by Sam Clapson working at making up lost time. All 3 boys took their turn on dropping in the water! with the overall positions being Billy Smith 1st, Sam Clapson 2nd Jake Frame 3rd.
Natalie Scott led the ladies F2 race from the start with Lucy Gale finishing 2nd place.Natalie and Lucy are both representing GB at the World Championships.
Toby Duggan was the only dauphine to finish the race , a great achievement in such rough waters.
The senior category was won by Hunstanton member James Allen with Glen Manchett and Scott Gibbons taking 2nd/3rd place respectively.
Unfortunately due to increasing winds and sea conditions the Bambinos race had to be cancelled.
Round 3 of the British National races will be held next weekend 24th May at Allhallows.
