Last year’s winner Hellbent had a skier fall in the first leg, which put them a bit behind at the turn around point.

The Chief team of skiers Daniel Shipp and Jamie Oliver were second over the line in Superclass and overall for the weekend.

Third overall was the Mildura team of ORSM, who were competing in the 8 Litre class, who also broke the class record previously held by Agrovation.  The team of Ian Kilpatrick driving, Aaron Martin observing and skiers George Fitos and Steve Rowe were hanging on out the back.

The King of the Murray which in conducted over the 4 Super Series events which are conducted on the Murray River has changed in the lead boat.  Stinga is now leading the event with 45 points.  Stinga has to win at the Mildura 100 over the Easter break and he could take out the title of the King of the Murray. If Chief were to win the Mildura 100 and break the record – he could also win the title.  There will certainly be a great tussle on the water between these two boats at Easter.

The record breaking event was jointly conducted by Ski Racing Victoria and the Robinvale Ski Race Committee.

Ski Racing Victoria would like to thank all the volunteers and officials that assisted over the weekend to ensure a successful event was held.  A big thank you also the towns of Robinvale and Euston who again made us welcome and provided a beautiful venue on the Murray River for us to conduct the event.
