Tony van Deursen killed in a water ski accident
on October 29th, 2011New Zealand water ski racing is mourning the loss of Tony van Deursen , 57, who died in a water ski accident on Lake Taupo on Saturday 29th of October.
Tony has been part of our sport for 20 years and has won numerous NZ titles and was a very experiences skier. He was responsible for for the 2007 worlds DVD and numerous other ski racing films as he was a professional cameraman and producer. His daughter Olivia has come right thru the sport and also won numerous NZ titles. He will be sorely missed and is a legend of our sport.
Our deepest sympathy goes to the family
This is absolute tragic news for NZ ski racing as well as the world of water ski racing. Tony put a fantastic dvd together for us of Karl skiing at NZ Worlds in 2007, we will always treasure those memories.
