The Diamond Race is without a doubt the most gruelling race in the world. I have just received the following unofficial results from Kim and Kelly Lumley:
1997 World Water Ski Racing Champion (and former World Wakeboard Champion) Wayne Mawer of Cairns Australia has just won the 2007 Diamond Water Ski Racing in Viersel, Belgium. Britain’s Darren Kirkland took 2nd with Dimitri Bertels of Belgium 3rd. Todd Haig unfortunately broke.
2005 Women’s World Champion Kim Lumley won the women’s. Sabine Ortileb of Austria took 2nd with Lacey Nordblad from the USA 3rd.
