Byron’s family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to brighten the streets of Lakeport by contributing to a Lamppost that will be named in his honor in downtown Clearlake.

Sept 6, 2010: America’s Byron Whipple passed away on Saturday evening in Lakeport, USA as a result of a boating accident.

The well known character goes back a long way in ski racing and amongst his many achievements, won the Bronze medal at the 1981 World Championships at Lecco, Como & Idroscalo in Italy.
