Wim Lamot has reported that IWSF world council member Julius Leysen crashed earlier today with his powerboat (Cat) at the Bernico Poker Run in Belgium.
Jules was said to have hit a wall at around 200kph when the steering broke. He tumbled a few times before coming to a stop in the water and was rushed to hospital but seems to be fine. The boat is in shreds.
The latest report this Saturday evening (9 Aug) is that Philip Lamot has collected Jules from the hospital and they are now back at the Bernico Poker Run party where Jules is nursing a swolen arm and some bruises.
