When World Champion driver Fred Bastin sold his boat “Red Shark” to Georg Förstel, he wasn’t expecting such a chilling deal.
As the pair test drove the boat on the River Danube in Austria over the weekend, they crashed and found themselves dunked icy 3 degree celcius water.
Both struggled to swim to shore as their arms began to seize up in the icy waters and were taken to hospital, but later released when their body temperatures had returned to 36’C.
Both guys and the boat are all fully recovered and ready for another test run.
